APMP SSA CHAPtER
Formed in 2009, the APMP Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Chapter has grown into the most influential network of bid and proposal professionals in the region. Our membership, currently numbering over 200, benefits from unparalleled professional development opportunities, global connections, and exclusive industry resources.
We are driven by a dedicated committee of volunteers from the bid and tendering profession, who generously contribute their time and expertise to advance the professionalism of proposal management and coaching.
Now in its 16th year, our annual conference has become a cornerstone event for industry professionals. Our chapter was recently recognized as a top 3 finalist for the prestigious 2023 Stephen P. Shipley Award for “Chapter of the Year,” honoring our excellence in chapter sustenance, development, and member engagement. I make sure we meet all compliance, governance, and client requirements. The key to winning business is the persuasive power of quantifying our value to differentiate us from our competitors.

In addition to our committee members, we also have four Directors responsible for overseeing the activities, ensuring sound financial practices are followed and that our chapter is properly governed and managed in line with the international APMP body.

Code of ethics
Members of APMP are expected to:
- Comply with rules, government regulations, and laws in their respective countries, as well as other appropriate private and public regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all rules concerning an interaction with clients and government liaisons.
- Protect sensitive information and comply with all legal requirements for the disclosure of information.
- Avoid conflicts of interest, or the appearance of same, and disclose to their employer or client any circumstances that may influence their judgment and objectivity.
- Ensure that a mutual understanding of the objectives, scope, work plan, and fee arrangements has been established before accepting any assignment.
- Represent the proposal profession with integrity in their relationships with employers, clients, colleagues, and the general public.
- When in doubt about how to resolve an ethical dilemma, confer with a person you trust— one who is not directly involved in the outcome.
